Via the RGJ this week, a nice report on a company called Mariah Power, headquartered in Reno, which has figured out how to make a wind turbine that could be installed in anyone's backyard. Only 30 feet tall, and engineered to run quietly, and backordered.
The vast majority of these turbines will be assembled in a retooled plant in Youngstown, Ohio. Youngstown found some money to to convert the factory so Mariah just couldn't turn it down.
At $5,000 plus around $1,000 installation for most people, who knows if the math works out? Well, if you have a copy of your power bill and a little tenacity, you can use Mariah's calculator to find out what it would mean to your bottom line.
All in all a positive development. We'll be looking for more news like this.
Please send me more information on this wonderful product. I am looking forward to hearing from you. E-mail

Thank you!
